Against-the-clock motorists zoom in and out of the city above you as your pasta boils. La Recova is the sub-motorway restaurant strip beside the Four Seasons hotel. The diverse mix of restaurants contains, among others, ex-Boca Juniors coach Carlos Bianchi’s eclectic Bond restaurant with its soap-opera crowd, and Piegari, the pick of the bunch.
rnAttracting a similar bunch of well-to-do families, surgically enhanced, diamond-encrusted Argentines and illicit lovers as the other restaurants, Pieragi delivers an ambitious, consistent and extremely tasty Italian menu. The pasta dishes are huge and made for sharing, filled with juicy and wholesome fillings and made with bundles of Latin passion. The sorrentinos (ravioli-style pasta) come with rich cheese or tomato sauces and are almost too filling, but can be washed down with fabulous wines from the comprehensive wine list.
