Plazoleta Cortazar
Like San Telmo, Palermo Viejo is an old part of town, lacking any significant sites, but it’s best experienced on foot, especially if you love shopping! The one exception to this, however, is the Plazoleta Cortazar, better known as Plaza Serrano.
rn
rnThe Plaza is a rounded market-place with swings in the middle, and an area for artists, jewellers and tradesmen to sell their goods. The weekends are packed with Argentines as well as tourists as there is so much going on in the area. El Ultimo Beso (Nicaragua 4880, tel: 4832 7711 www.elultimobeso.com.ar) is a couple of blocks away for afternoon tea.
