High ceilings, huge windows, open kitchens and plenty of space help to earn this restaurant design kudos. Located in the Westin, this is an upscale trattoria with a great open courtyard terrace for any time of the year, except during monsoon when only die-hard smokers venture out for a puff.
Diners tend to be families, couples and the odd stylista or two – be warned, it gets very busy here when the salsa nights are on. Meanwhile, dishes are classic Italian, so expect cannelloni, risotto and a host of creamy and delicious desserts.
The chef is Italian and can often be seen chatting to guests, finding out what they like and sending out amuse-bouches to tables. A friendly staff and an exceptional wine list from Italy’s bounty wraps things up nicely.
