This used to be a trendy gay club, then a hasbeen gay club, now it’s a classic gay club – you know how it goes. Immense in size, Queen entertains on three levels, all with accompanying bars, and there’s a fiercely guarded VIP area (well, we are on the Champs Elysées). It’s open through the week, with more themed nights introduced of late: Monday nights mean Disco Queen; Ladies’ Night on Wednesday (take note, hen parties), and housey dancey action Thursday to Saturday. Overkitsch welcomes girls, boys and all sorts for its deliriously camp 1980s and 1990s dance-music fest on Sunday nights, when you could turn up wearing two sequins and a banana, and no one would laugh.
