Quinta da Penha Longa
Quinta da Penha Longa is one of Lisbon’s closest golf clubs and considered to be one of the best courses in Europe. This 18-hole course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The club has a hotel, two putting greens, two driving ranges, restaurant, bar, golf shop, sauna and jacuzzi. An adjacent nine-hole (par-35) course is less hilly and played host to the 1994 and 1995 Portuguese Open. The Mosteiro takes its name from the nearby Penha Longa monastery. Greens are fast and the fairways narrow. Take the EN9 Estoril-Sintra road and turn left at signs for Lagoa Azul.
