Radisson Blu Royal Viking
Just a couple of minutes’ walk from the Central Station, the second of our Radisson Blu hotels in Stockholm is known for its practicality rather than its cutting-edge design. Its position in the centre of Norrmalm has obvious advantages for the business fraternity.
Encompassing 459 professionally designed hotel rooms and suites are created with the businessman in mind, although they eschew the blandness so often associated with the corporate sector. The suites are luxurious, equipped with their own private saunas, and are intriguingly decorated (photographs of Madonna ingrained into the backs of chairs, for example). The standard rooms, however, are uninteresting although equipped with everything that you might possibly need. In the basement is the SATS health centre, a health club and spa equipped with machines, swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna.
The rooftop SkyBar has been renovated and gives guests a view over the city’s rooftops and waterfront as the sun sets. On the ground floor the stylish Stockholm Fisk restaurant that makes the most of the local fishing fleet’s daily catch.
The atmospheric pool area and jacuzzi are set beside a standard gym and small treatment centre. To get the most out of the hotel book into a suite and treat yourself to a sauna and jacuzzi before heading out to one of Stockholm’s more stylish restaurants.
