Redchurch Street
Too-cool-for-school is what springs to mind when wandering down Redchurch Street. Aubin & Wills is Jack Wills’ ‘Gap-luxe’ line for men and women, which includes an onsite gallery courtesy of artist Stuart Semple and even a cinema in collaboration with Shoreditch House.
The epitome of quirky London shopping is caravan interiors stylist/author Emily Chalmers’ cool home store with many odd, vintage finds – bambi heads, bugs, birdcages etc etc. and Sick represents the extreme left, with Ex-BOY owner Steph Rayner’s ‘anti-retail’ secondhand clothes mantra summing up that post-capitalist East End vibe. Speedie Speedie Gazelle’s grungy installation/vintage store with monthly gigs sets itself apart from all the competition when it comes to entertainment during a London shopping spree.
