Although its inconspicuous location and dirty green walls are hardly enticing, Restaurangen has hidden depths. This, the third restaurant from the Grill stable (see Grill also in the Restaurants section), manages to hit the heights that the previous two have so far failed to attain.
Here, it is the food and concept that make the restaurant unique. Mark off your chosen dishes on the menu with a pencil – there are set prices for the number of dishes you order. Wines to complement the dishes are listed next to them.
The food is delicious but the portions do tend to be small, so order more than you might usually. At lunchtime the atmosphere is more business-like, while the clever use of lighting in the evening makes the drab interior seem more intimate.
