Ristorante Sadler

Two-star Michelin chef and Milan native Claudio Sadler opened his appellative restaurant inside the prestigious former Legation Quarter, Chi’enmen 23. Ristorante Sadler has quickly become the premier Italian restaurant in Beijing, from his hometown veal milanese to the warm tiramisu served with coffee ice cream. Other delights include ink fettuccine with seafood and blue fin tuna tartare with eggplant chutney. The restaurant is decorated in a muted palette of cream and beige that puts all of the emphasis on the food. There is a four-course gourmet dinner menu at RMB 600 that features piedmontese specialties such as agnolotti pasta filled with red wine braised beef and foie gras, and traditional zabaglione for dessert. As soon as the weather gets warm, implore the maître d’ to give you a table on the balcony overlooking Tian’anmen Square. Try a piece of Ristorante Sadler’s signature rum-infused Naples sponge cake with your coffee.
