Robert Mouawad Private Museum
One of the few private museums in Beirut, the Robert Mouawad is found in what used to be the Henry Pharoan Palace, named after the late head of a prestigious Lebanese dynasty. Bought and restored by the wealthy Lebanese jeweller Robert Mouawad, the museum now houses ancient Arab artefacts such as swords, pottery and jewels and objets d’art collected by Pharoan and Mouawad over many decades. The building itself is an architectural showcase much like London’s famous Orient House
