Vintage styles and second hand shops have become a permanent facet of contemporary fashion throughout the global city network. Today’s hipster is sartorially post-modern, choosing patches of different looks rather than to subscribe to a single trend or movement. This frenzied approach is quite liberating, and innovative minds have adopted their own manifestation of the creative anarchy.
Roni Kantor began her way to fashion through rummaging sessions in her grandmother’s closet. She moved on to secondhand shops and flea markets, both in Tel Aviv and abroad, and eventually developed her passion into an original line of clothing and shoes.
Falling in love with vintage fabrics or finished garments, she reconstructs the pieces into new fashions that are directly influenced yet authentically hers. The dresses and shoes are all handcrafted, one of a kind, eco and vegan friendly. Following a string of increasingly successful home sales, Kantor moved into her new studio/boutique in Rothschild Boulevard. Come in for a spell, enjoy the flea-market couches and perhaps a conversation with Roni; the clothes will find their way to your wardrobe.
