Hg2 : The Hedonist

Rushcutters Bay Park

Awash with personal trainers, joggers, picnicking groups and mums with prams, Rushcutters Bay Park is one of the favourite parks in Sydney for eastern suburbs residents – it’s an easy five-minute walk from Potts Point and Kings Cross. There’s plenty of shade with leafy native trees packed with kookaburras and fruit bats, and the view isn’t bad, either – it straddles a bay filled with gleaming white yachts berthed at the CYC Sailing Club, with plenty of grass, playing fields, playgrounds and pathways popular with joggers. Take a picnic rug and spend the day horizontal, or pull up a plastic chair at the kiosk, which does a roaring trade in coffee, sandwiches and salads.
