The season at the Russian Drama Theatre runs from October to June and tickets costs between 400 and 1,200 KZT. Although all the plays are in Russian, it’s an interesting place to see plays by masters such as Chekhov, Lermontov, Gogol, Dostoevsky and even Shakespeare. It celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2000, and remains one the most popular theatres in the city.
