Sarah Bernhardt is a grandiose Prague restaurant, found within the fantastic Art Nouveau Hotel Paris. The interior of the restaurant is partially clad in blue mosaic, which combines with original lighting fixtures, gilded stucco and dark wooden furniture to create a sophisticated and elegant setting.
Sarah Bernhardt sets itself up as a grand dining experience: a pianist plays away while waiters scurry around diligently in a rather hushed manner, generating a rarefied atmosphere. The menu temptingly describes an accomplished mixture of French and Czech cuisine.
The dishes were carefully constructed and delectable melting pots of flavour. The service was superb. Sarah Bernhardt is recommended if your party includes the older generation, but is slightly too formal and reserved for a lively or romantic evening.
