Scala’s Bistro
The street-level dining room within The Sir Francis Drake Hotel, Scala’s Bistro, maintains the aura of the roaring ’20s like none of the other restaurants in San Francisco, in grand style with dark wood booths, amber walls, an expansive mural, chandeliers, and plenty of Parisian-bistro ambiance. The food is French-Italian, with dishes such as roasted chicken with braised broccoli rabe, fried calamari, pastas, and beef bourguignon. After dinner, try the Bostini, a decadent cream and chocolate experience, then take the elevator to the 21st floor to shake it up at Harry Denton’s Starlight Room.
