Schlosshotel im Grunewald
Easily the most exclusive hotel in Berlin, this restored 14th- century villa can be found on the edge of the Grünewald. It’s about a 15-minute drive from the Ku’damm, but the type of people staying here probably have their own limo at their beck and call. If not, the hotel staff will eagerly arrange one for you. The setting is stunning – particularly in summer when meals can be served on the lawn. A long driveway ensures ultimate privacy. King of haute couture Karl Lagerfeld was responsible for the opulent stately home interior. The decadent red lobby is particularly impressive and the restaurant highly recommended. A charming fairy-tale escape, although perhaps not overly practical for exploring the city.
