Smith & Wollensky
The Miami branch of Smith & Wollensky sits right on the waterfront at the tip of South Beach, with views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Downtown skyline. It’s a superb location for dinner or brunch. Assume all the American culinary classics to be on offer as well as some exciting salads on chef Robert Mignola’s menu, and expect a packed house inside the two-storey building. Surprisingly this is one of the only restaurants on South Beach that overlooks the Ocean, so it is advisable to book a table outside where the tables almost touch the grass at the waterfront, and there is a nice long bar where guests have the most fun. The view crosses Miami’s main shipping channel, so yachts, big vulgar speedboats and gigantic cruise ships pass by as you sip your Manhattan. The bottom line is that Smith & Wollensky is one of the best steak houses in town, and it has the best view of them all.
