Soulpepper Theatre Company
12 of Canada’s top theatre actors and directors established the Soulpepper Theatre Company in 1997. In 2006 the company teamed up with George Brown University Theatre School and had this state of the art facility built (using a $3-million donation from the Michael Yonge Family Foundation).
The Young Centre for the Performing Arts is a performance and theatre education space with youth outreach programmes that have earned it great kudos. The main two-tiered auditorium features nine shows per year by the company. The international classics that are reinterpreted here include The Odd Couple, Ghosts and The Glass Menagerie.
