Located in the Kampa Museum of Modern Art, Sovov’y Mlyny is small, refined and contemporary, positioning itself purposefully among the more sleek cafes in Prague. The space is split into two areas, with an outside terrace open in summer that enjoys splendid views over the Vltava towards the Old Town.

The simple décor is dotted with interesting pictures and objéts d’art, which provide the perfect backdrop to what is a fairly sophisticated menu.

The dishes, which display a modern approach to Czech cooking, are just the right size to ensure that you can still manage to walk after lunch – perfect for those planning to look at the Museum (recommended). The food is delicious, and demonstrates a refreshing approach to local cuisine – Sovovy does what it feels is stylish without pandering to local ‘authenticity’.
