Sudestada
A Sudestada is the sudden rotation of cold southern winds to the southeast, otherwise known as the South Eastern Hit. Sudestada the restaurant has been serving spicy South East Asian dishes since opening in 1999 from its Palermo Hollywood cornershop hideout.
rn
rnAlways packed, porteños, who are gradually realising the delights of spicy red, yellow or green curries, either get their chilli kick here or at Green Bamboo. Fusions are out of the question, it’s straight down the line Thai,Vietnamese, Cambodian or Malaysian.
rn
rnFounded by entrepreneurs Estanis Carenzo, Leonardo Azulay and Pablo Giúdice, who have recently opened another branch in Madrid. Much of Sudestada’s popularity comes down to the fabulous starters, from which we recommend you choose a tapas style selection. But it’s the brimming corner shop ambience (capacity for only 38 covers) overlooked by the chefs and the cocktail shakers that make Sudestada one of Palermo Hollywood firm favourites, and one of the only unpretentious places in BA to get ones spice fix.
