Hg2 : The Hedonist

Sushi Bar

The best of Beirut’s sushi bars gets top marks not just for the standard of its food but also its freshness and cleanliness. Appealing to serious diners, the interior features rice-paper panels on the ceiling, a dominant central bar surrounded by tall tables and chairs, pine wood walls and comfy low running sofas where patrons can sit and relax with a glass of champagne.

The extensive menu has the usual maki, sashimi and sushi but try the Spicy Fever maki or the special sashimi, with large portions of fish on ice and fabulous scallops marinated in sweet vinegar sauce. Definitely aimed at an upmarket crowd, Sushi Bar is suitably expensive but worth it.
