TAO is sister to Indochina and this swish, slick sushi and tepanyaki restaurant is one of the most exclusive sushi restaurants in Madrid. TAO is right on the Paseo de la Castellana and surrounded by luxury hotels, major banks and other smart office blocks, at lunchtime it draws in well-groomed businessfolk, but is elegant enough to attract the more relaxed, leisurely, but still smartly dressed local crowd in the evenings.
You’ll find all the usual Japanese dishes on the menu, and a surprisingly comprehensive wine list. A good option is to go for the set menus. For lunch, sit at the sushi bar and help yourself, but in the evening relax and let the charming staff do all the work.
