The Art Room
Glorious, bespoke cocktail boîtes are the new big thing in Paris and the wonderfully sparkly, sophisticated The Art Room is leading the charge. The brain child of Cyrille Mas Gamoty the interior decor has shiny dark mosaic tiles, sparkling chandeliers and drop lights, comfortable sofas and vintage armchairs, which sit alongside the lotions and potions used in the construction of the drinks menu. Beloved by the jeunesse dorée the dark glossy interiors hide a wonderful cocktail menu that draws the crowds. The molecular cocktails are carefully crafted in laboratory like conditions using extraordinary ingredients like lemon caviar, molecular beet cubes and grated Szechuan pepper – this is more chemistry than cocktail shaker. A DJ booth rounds off the bar and means that the party more often than not rolls late into the night.
