It’s a bit of a shame that this lounge doesn’t have a more distinguished moniker, because the experience truly warrants one. This particular lobby bar perches on the 25th floor of the Espirito Santos building, with vistas to die for and seating in a bright lemon colour scheme that displays its mischievous side in earnest. The Bar definitely wants to make an impression, and not as that ‘we’re too chic for our own good’ space easily found elsewhere. Depending on the weekday, happy hour cocktail specials may spotlight wines (50 available by the glass), ‘skinny”‘margaritas or caipirinhas, and the lively set of drinkers to be found here is easily engaged. The smart bet is to appear during ‘Elevated Friday’, when everything is half-off from 5pm to 8pm and the crowd is at its most celebratory. Bring your drink out onto the slim veranda, and take care it doesn’t go tumbling 300-foot into the bay below.
