Inspired by the grand cafés of Old Europe, The Delaunay is the brainchild of Christopher Corbin and Jeremy King, owners of the beloved Wolseley. The sweeping Aldwich-based restaurant is all dark wood and soft lighting, recalling the smoke-filled European salons of the Roaring ’20s. Mittel European cuisine fills the menu with wieners and schnitzels and sauerkraut. The Delaunay is open and buzzing throughout the day, breakfast and high tea to a late supper. Diners can eat formally in the restaurant or grab a patisserie and a cocktail at the bar. Expect impeccable service and perfect platters in an environment that begs for waistcoated gents with monocles.
