The Pearson Room
Set at the summit of one of Canary Wharf’s towering glass structures, The Pearson Room offers elegant, expertly designed dishes and incredible drinks in the beating heart of London’s finance district. Attentive staff see to your every need, effortlessly guiding customers through the menu and extensive wine list (designed by award-winning sommelier Sunaina Sethi & Trishna with helpful suggestions, while over at the bar, alchemy of the most exciting sort is in full force. In fact, it would be quite reasonable to visit this venue for the drinks alone, designed as they are with help from the guys behind Worship St Whistling Shop. The Picante De La Casa (Cazadores tequila with fresh chillies, coriander, lime and agave nectar) is particularly tasty for those with a weakness for heat. But it would be a shame to come here and miss out on the cuisine. Head Chef Vagner Matos has crafted an all day menu with starters including diver scallops with ndjua, Jerusalem artichoke puree and gremolata, and mains featuring everything from Whitstable Lemon Sole to a succulent Cote de Boeuf. Admittedly, you might not travel across London for dinner here, but if you are in the area, it’s well worth stopping by.
