The Pedrix Blanche
If a diet of cheese and grilled meat has become your idea of hell after a week eating in Val d’Isere, then head to The Pendrix Blanche for a little more variety. As they say, it’s the spice of life. The menu is heavy on seafood, particularly shellfish; the mussels come highly recommended, as does the lipsmackingly good seafood pizza. There’s also a sushi menu, for those who like their seafood raw.
Lovers of traditional mountain meals aren’t left out either, with doorstop-sized steaks on the menu. It pays to book a day or two in advance for The Perdrix, even in low season; it certainly isn’t cheap, but make allowances for the cost of getting shellfish up the mountain.
