Founded in 1868, the Tonhalle Orchestra is Switzerland’s oldest symphony orchestra and one of Europe’s leading ensembles. Performing in the Tonhalle since 1895, the orchestra is famous for its first class concert program and their recordings of the works of Strauss, Schumann and Beethoven.
