One of the newer additions to the pantheon of luxury hotels in Vegas – Trump International Hotel & Tower Las Vegas – suffered a few hiccups along the way. Within the first few months of opening, the Vegas hotel had to cut back on its staffing levels, and then it lost its chef. Nevertheless, Mr. Trump rivals Mr. Wynn in his attention to detail, which means everything at Trump International is top-shelf, from the gold-plated ceiling in the porte cochere (which took two men 120 days to install), to the crystal columns and Italian Brecchia Oniciata marble in the lobby, to the Bernardaud china in the guest rooms. The studio suite is the best bang for your buck, but the South-facing penthouse suite is worth the splurge for its stunning views of the Strip. What’s more, these rooms, while pricey, aren’t reserved for whales and high rollers – if you have the cash, you can live the life. All suites come with a personal Trump attaché, who will stock your room with your favorite brand of water, score reservations at Sin City’s top tables, and procure anything you can dream of-within legal limits, of course.
