Vin comme Vin
Drape yourself over one of the rich red velvet
chairs and allow one of sommelier, Yvan Jobarb’s carefully selected wines
seduce you into paradise. With a wide choice of wine from around the world – as
well as several local varieties – many of which won’t be found elsewhere in
Beirut, this really is the wine connoisseur’s heaven.
It’s a venue that’s fairly new to the scene so
yet to stand the test of time – in a place as popular as Beirut right now,
where new sites are popping up quicker than you can choose your favourite hot
spot, long standing venues are a sure sign that’s something’s good.
Nevertheless, V comme Vin’s USP (unique selling
point) is that it’s the (albeit self-proclaimed) Lebanese capital’s first wine
bar – testament in itself of the growing popularity in grape juice.
Its intimate cellar currently attracts the
well-healed who come for early evening drinks and some of its tantalising
cheese and charcuterie boards.
