Wynn Poker Room
Top of the list of things to do in Vegas for the serious gamblers, and also for those who have come to Vegas as first time dabblers in the world of poker, should be the Wynn Poker Room. Wynn’s comprises 27 tables that are often filled to capacity. If you come on the weekend, expect to wait at least 15 minutes. This might be a drawback for some, but for those staying upstairs – no worries. Even the standard rooms offer guests the ability to log in to the poker room from their TV and watch their name move up the list in the comfort of their own bedroom. The daily poker room rate is $129 on weekdays and $199 on weekends. The players at the tables are a fairly even mix of regulars and tourists. The room has common low- and mid-limit Hold ‘Em games, as well as $1 to $2, $2 to $5 and $5 to $10 NL Texas Hold ‘Em games. In February 2006, Phil Ivey won $16-million from Texas banker Andy Beal in the Wynn Poker Room.
