Yauatcha started life as a contemporary dim sum teahouse, which opened in London in 2004 and its second restaurant in the heart of Mumbai’s Financial District followed soon after. Specialising in modern dim sum, Yauatcha Mumbai impressively received a Michelin star within a year of its opening. An exceptional range of Chinese and Indian teas are is offered to accompany contemporary versions of traditional Chinese snacks. An open-plan layout and visible kitchen – designed by Christian Liaigre – creates a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Chinese teahouse. And handmade macaroons and chocolates are a decadent (and necessary) finish to any meal at Yauatcha Mumbai.
