Hg2 : The Hedonist

Moscow’s love affair with Japanese culture comes to its logical conslusion at Yoko. From the authentic kimonos worn by the waitresses to the traditional tableware, everything is imported from Japan – including the fish, which is flown in twice a week from a Tokyo market. Carbon footprint aside, this gives diners the luxury of sampling fish that would otherwise be unavailable in this part of the world, including bluefin tuna, sea-urchin, yellowtail, and japanese sea bream. The sophisticated minimalism of the interior, decked out in bright pine wood and grey marble, is echoed in the elegant presentation of the dishes. If you find yourself transported, the excellent views of the cathedral of Christ the Saviour will ground you firmly back in Russia.
