This is the place that launched a thousand business deals – or so it would appear by the masses of sharp-suited business people and super-achievers who flock here for innovative creations by two Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia. After earning his stars in London – and helping to lift Indian cuisine into the league of fine-dining – the chef returned to Mumbai and opened Ziya to great acclaim.
But there’s nothing Brick Lane about this; here it’s all gold plates, starched white tablecloths and an incredible view of the Arabian Sea. Amidst the tousled locks and seductive glances, waiters zip between tables delivering hot plates of chicken Tandoori Dosa and vegetarian kebabs. Come hungry and dress sexy.
