Desperate to fit in among the cool-kid bars in Prague, Zvonarka, in the heart of Vinohrady, is built from glass, steel, neon and wood, elements that have been combined to create a modern space that favours simple, clean, modern lines.
There is a separate bar, restaurant and lounge area, but the large outdoor terrace offering panoramic views over the city’s southern reaches is the real reason to head out here. Zvonarka is known to host some of the best private parties in town, so if you’re able to crash one, consider yourself a legend; otherwise, they still have Prague’s finest DJs spinning the decks at weekends.
The restaurant is reasonable but its Mexican/Asian/Czech food is nothing to shout from the terrace about. Zvonarka is worth a visit if you’re staying in this part of town, but check ahead for events if you’re coming from the centre since it’s not always a buzzing place.
