Hg2 Content Lab is a boutique creative agency with storytelling at its core. Known for our work with luxury hotels, destinations and lifestyle brands, we partner with clients as a strategic and creative extension of their teams—shaping narrative, tone of voice and brand positioning across editorial, digital and campaign-led content.

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Account Manager to join us on a 10-month fixed-term contract, supporting a portfolio of top-tier hospitality and luxury clients. This role blends client leadership, content strategy and hands-on account management, with a strong editorial lens and meticulous attention to detail.

The Role

This role is primarily focused on client strategy, delivery and relationship management. You will lead the day-to-day running of assigned accounts, shape content and brand direction in partnership with clients, and ensure smooth end-to-end delivery across teams.

While you’ll contribute to agency growth initiatives and new business materials, your core responsibility will be ensuring exceptional client experience, clear strategic thinking and consistently high-quality output.

You will act as the main point of contact for clients, guide internal teams, and contribute to strategic documents, planning materials and presentations. Strong account management experience within luxury hospitality, travel or lifestyle is essential. Experience working closely with editorial teams is highly valued. Italian fluency or experience working with Italian brands is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Client Delivery

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, leading calls and managing ongoing communication
  • Build trusted, long-term client relationships through proactive, thoughtful delivery
  • Translate client goals into clear, actionable briefs for internal teams
  • Oversee timelines, approvals and deliverables to ensure smooth execution
  • Ensure work is delivered to a consistently high standard, on time and on brief

Client Strategy & Brand Positioning

  • Lead strategic direction and content planning for key hospitality and luxury accounts
  • Support clients in refining tone of voice, messaging and brand positioning
  • Develop and manage quarterly content strategies aligned with brand goals and seasonal priorities
  • Ensure all output reflects a clear, cohesive and consistent brand narrative
  • Position Hg2 as a strategic and creative partner to clients

Admin, Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain trackers, timelines, systems and documentation across accounts
  • Manage workflows and ensure progress and risks are clearly communicated
  • Deliver structured client reports, recaps and strategic insights
  • Coordinate feedback and approval processes internally and externally
  • Work closely with editorial and operations leads to ensure systems support delivery

Agency Growth & New Business

  • Contribute to credentials decks, pitch materials, case studies and proposals
  • Support Hg2’s own brand positioning and thought leadership initiatives
  • Collaborate on strategic messaging for internal and external communications

Ideal Candidate

  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • 4–6+ years’ experience in account management, brand strategy or marketing
  • Experience within hospitality, hotel management, luxury or travel strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead client relationships and provide strategic direction
  • Strong understanding of tone of voice, narrative development and brand positioning
  • Highly organised, proactive and confident managing multiple clients and timelines
  • Experience working with or briefing editorial teams to maintain brand consistency
  • Comfortable in a content-led, editorially driven environment (this is not a performance-marketing or social-only role)
  • Italian fluency or experience working with Italian hospitality brands is a strong advantage
